Less than one year ago the debate on student loans bubble flourished in the US. The Occupy movement dramatically captured popular imagination by stating that student loans had reached $1 trillion and could potentially constitute the next economic bubble. Protesters evoked the ghost of another out-of-control economic crisis. The Occupy movement highlighted the risk of the spiraling student debt and put the issue at the top of the political agenda.
